During our Team Meeting in Phoenix we discussed the following topics that are the cornerstone of a successful distance program:
1 - Winter Training if you're running Track (Dec 2 - Feb 28)
2 - Running Track if you wish to be successful in XC (unless you are competing in another RCHS Sport)
3 - Training consistently during the summer with your teammates.
4 - Strong Leadership being model and communicated by our Seniors
5 - Competing for each other, pushing and challenging your teammates to give 100%
It's all about the process, what are you doing each day to become a better runner and teammate?
The Coaches want to thank all the athletes for your hard work and commitment you gave the Jags XC Team this year!
Time Off - Many of you have been training hard since June, so now it's time to rest and rejuvenate both physically and mentally. For those who have just competed at NXN it is recommended that you take 2 weeks of rest. If you feel you need a 3rd week of rest, please stop by Coach Davies office and we can discuss this. NXN Athletes should start easy running again the week of December 9th. I will be posting training plans starting that week. We will meet again as a Team January 7th for Winter Track Club training. The link to sign up for Winter Track is located below:

For those athletes who did not compete at NXN and are planning to run Track, it is suggested that you begin training as part of our Winter Track Club that will begin meeting Dec. 2.
Coach Grant will be attending practices form Dec 2 - 12. Please see our Track Site for more info, or email Coach Grant.
