First Race: We will begin our season with the Vista 2 mile on August 26. This will be the first year in many years that we will not have a scrimmage. Let's be smart this week adjusting our daily routines now that your back in classes all day. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, hydrate, and eat wisely at lunch. Our workouts these next few weeks (and races), will take place under some very hot conditions. Being ready to handle our sometimes grueling workouts effectively, depends on your physical and mental preparation each day!

Group A Boys
Mon - 3-4 miles 30 min am and 8 miles 60 min pm (weights)
Tues - pm - 6 miles (tempo) 45 min
Wed - pm - 7 miles/ 50 min 8x short hills
Thur - 6 miles (fartlek ) 45 min (weights)
Fri - 6 miles/45 with 8 x100 strides
Sat - 8 miles/60-65 min
Sun Optional 3-5 miles 30-40 min - Total for week - 45 miles
Group A Girls
Mon - 5 miles 40 min weights
Tues - 5 miles tempo - 35 min
Wed - 6 miles 50 min with 8x short hills
hur - 5 miles Fartlek 35 min - weights
Fri - 6 miles 40 min with 8x100 strides
Sat - 6 miles 50 min
Sun Optional 3 -4 miles 30-35 min Total for week - 33 miles
