Scrimmage Notes: The scrimmage was a good start for most of you. There were some returning runners who really improved from last year. There were also a few first timers that impressed the coaches. The Boys top 5 runners team time, narrowly beat the record of the 2013 team by 10 seconds. The girls top 5 times were a little behind the 2013/14 teams. However, the talent is there, you just need to push and encourage each other each week. It's more imprtant to be running your best in October rather than August.
Sleep and Nutrition/Hydration - Let's make sure your getting enough sleep (min 8 hrs). I know you have lots of homework at RCHS, but if you manage your time right, you can get the sleep. Also, make sure you find out what meals work best for you (especially lunch), so you are ready for the workouts/races. And of course, hydrate appropriatley. If you urinate right before practice and it's clear like lemonade, your ready, if it's looks like apple juice , you better drink more!!!
Early Dismissal Friday - Remember you will be leaving early on Friday (12:45). It's important to give those teachers a heads up that you will miss class. By being proactive, it show's them that you care about their class!
Let's have a productive and positive week of practice and a great meet on Friday! Go JAGS CC!
